My Favorite Business Tools That Make Life (and Work) So Much Easier

Tools that make life easier

Let’s be real: running a business means wearing 18 hats, juggling 97 tasks, and still remembering to drink water. But over the years, I’ve found some tools that make things way easier—like the kind of easier where you whisper, “Where have you been all my life?”

This post is just me sharing my favorites. No sponsorships (yet—Rippling, call me), just genuine love for tools that help me and my clients save time, stay sane, and run smoother businesses.

1. Calendly

Ah, Calendly. The MVP of my inbox.
Gone are the days of “Does Tuesday work?” “What time?” “No, I meant Eastern time.” With Calendly, people just grab a time that works for them—and voilà. It was love at first click when I first used something similar through Zocdoc to book a doctor’s appointment. That’s actually when I first became aware of scheduling tools like Calendly, and it felt like magic. Now I use Calendly for everything from coaching calls to client consults. It’s simple, professional, and a total time-saver.

2. Rippling – The Payroll Platform That Does It All

I am a superfan of Rippling. Truly. It’s officially a payroll and HR platform, but I’ve used it most powerfully to automate my onboarding process—and it has saved me hours. From sending out welcome documents to getting new team members set up, Rippling turned something I used to manually do into a smooth, seamless flow.
Need help documenting or automating your onboarding process? Use my Calendly link to set up a time with me. I’ll talk Rippling all day long.

3. Homebot & Fello – Real Estate Game Changers

In the real estate world, keeping clients informed and engaged is half the battle. Tools like Homebot and Fello make it easy by providing smart, personalized home valuation reports. They not only help agents stay top of mind but also give homeowners real, relevant data they’ll actually want to read.
My friend, Gus Pladsen, over at Fello is the go-to guy if you're curious. Book a time with Gus here (tell him I sent you!).

4. Linktree – One Link to Rule Them All

You’ve probably seen Linktree on Instagram, but it’s so much more than that. Whether you’re juggling coaching, real estate, speaking gigs, or a podcast—it’s the perfect way to showcase everything in one spot. I use it in my email signature and even my bios. It's especially useful if your services (like mine) span across industries and platforms.

5. Loom – Because Sometimes a Video is Just Better

When email gets too long, I open Loom. Whether I’m explaining a client SOP, giving feedback on a document, or doing a quick training, Loom helps me communicate faster and more clearly. It’s also perfect for clients who need a walk-through but don’t have time for a meeting.

6. Canva – Design Without the Drama

Canva is my go-to when I want something to look like it took hours… but really took 10 minutes. From social media to client resources, it helps me (and my clients) show up polished and professional—even if we’re not graphic designers.

Final Thoughts

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or your business feels more chaotic than creative lately, these tools are worth exploring. They’ve helped me save time, reduce friction, and get back to doing what I do best—helping businesses grow.

And if you ever want to talk tools, systems, or strategy, I’m just a Calendly link away.
